SOLAR PANEL PRODUCTION IN SPACE
Many wonderful ideas for applications of technology in space can benefit from
complex thin films. Solar sails, solar power satellites and microwave power from
the moon all could benefit.
We suggest that the LVPP processor could be built in space very economically.
(i.e. no vacuum vessel would be needed.). A large area thin film could be
produced on a light weight substrate. The composition of the films would be
determined by the sequence of pellets injected into the processor. The pellets
could be lifted into space without danger of damage.
