Gamma ray Bursters exhibit complicated time dependent pulse shapes in the gamma energy portion of the
spectrum. The BATSE detector satellite has obtained much of the first information. Eastlund teamed with M.
Bottcher, B. Miller, in "Gamma-Ray Bursts from Trapped Particles in Neutron Star Magnetospheres, Huntsville
Conference on Gamma-Ray Bursters, September 15, 1997. This paper demonstrated how the magnetosphere
model was in good agreement with both the energy spectral dependence and the time dependence of the pulse
shape as shown below.
